Aiguilles Marbrées (3535m) - An ideal summit for first-time mountaineers
Situated on the French-Italian border, the Aiguilles Marbrées are the perfect summit for a first mountaineering experience. Close to the Torino refuge and the Hellbronner cable car, the route offers a superb setting and a fun way to get there. The atmosphere is both alpine and technical, yet accessible. Meeting early in the morning in Chamonix, cross the Mont-Blanc tunnel and park at the Skyway car park in Courmayeur. It's the perfect opportunity to start the day with a real cappuccino on the Italian side before the adventure begins!
The ski lifts take us directly to 3462 metres, to the pointe Helbronner. From here, we set foot on the glacial plateau that we cross to the Col de Rochefort, at the foot of the Dent du Géant and the Aiguille Marbrée Nord. Perhaps a future goal? The route alternates between rocky passages and mixed routes around boulders, skirting the border between France and Italy. At the top of the aiguille nord, the view is spectacular. After a break to enjoy the panorama, we continue our descent and then the horizontal traverse to the end of the rocky route. A rappel takes us back down to the glacier, which we cross to return to the Torino refuge or the Hellbronner cable car.

The route takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on your pace. This includes the ascent with the lifts, the ascent, the breaks and the descent.

The climbing sections are fairly easy, but there are alternatives if some participants feel uncomfortable. I'll help you progress at your own pace and choose the best options for everyone's safety.
