Ice climbing course

15 January - 18 January

Four days to discover or progress in ice climbing, in a winter mountain atmosphere. This course is aimed at beginners as well as experienced climbers who want to move up to lead climbing. We start by climbing one-pitch waterfalls to review the basics (belaying, positioning, rhythm), then move on to multi-pitch routes depending on the level of the group. Everyone can choose whether to climb first or second. Depending on the conditions, we can do mixed winter mountaineering routes, learn how to build a belay and manage the rope in varied terrain. The location is chosen according to current ice conditions: Maurienne, Chamonix / Val d'Aoste or Oisans.

Independent glacier skiing course

23 April - 26 April

This course is designed for those of you who ski tour regularly and want to become more autonomous in glacier skiing and high mountain terrain. As well as covering the basics of avalanche safety and group management in snowy terrain, we will work together on techniques specific to the glacier environment: anchoring dead bodies, roping on ascent, roped skiing on descent, advanced orientation tools with GPS, crevasse rescue manoeuvres and using the rope to secure a steep col or exposed passage. The aim is to understand, practise and then repeat the right moves until they become fluid for your next glacier outings.

Frequently asked questions

Here are my suggestions for courses and trips. They correspond to my current desires, the places I'd like to discover with you, the activities that are close to my heart, and the training that I know will be useful to you. These internships are not standardised offers that you find everywhere: I choose destinations and activities that I'm passionate about, and I offer you unique experiences. When you come with me, you're guaranteed a tailor-made adventure, far removed from the usual tourist itineraries, and you'll be able to explore exceptional places while improving your mountain skills.

What sets me apart is the personalised, human approach I offer. I am the sole manager of each course and each trip, which allows me to offer you special attention and create a relationship based on trust. You'll never be just another customer. Each adventure is tailored to your wishes, your level and your specific needs.

The success of an outing depends not only on thorough technical preparation, but also on adapting to the terrain and improvising. I like every outing to be a unique adventure, which is why I'm open to the unexpected and let myself be surprised by what the mountains or the trip has to offer. Sometimes you just have to seize the opportunities and let the magic happen! I try to make the most of situations to guarantee you the best possible experience. You'll have an experience like no other, where technical progress blends with the emotion of an authentic and unpredictable adventure.

When you go with me, you'll benefit from mountain expertise and a hands-on approach, and enjoy an adventure where flexibility and improvisation are an integral part of the experience. It's a great recipe for creating unforgettable memories.

Each course has a specific minimum level, and my aim is that you have the right profile for the course as I have designed it. To ensure this, I conduct a telephone interview or a face-to-face meeting at Wattabloc, which allows me to make sure that your skills, fitness and expectations are a good match for the course you want to take part in. If you have a group, we can work together to create a programme that is tailored to your needs, while remaining on the same basis as the initial course. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, I'll make sure that each course is perfectly adapted to your abilities.

For my trips abroad, or for major ski crossings, I work with the Les Matins du Monde agency to offer you an all-inclusive package. This includes transport, accommodation and supervision, so you can make the most of your experience without worrying about logistics. As soon as the payment is made, I work with the agency to take care of everything: booking transport, managing accommodation and organising details on the ground. The aim is to offer you optimum comfort while complying with current legislation, so that you can concentrate on what's important: your mountain adventure.
