Mountaineering
Canyoning
Ski touring in the Oberland
This course is designed for those wishing to progress towards self-sufficiency in mountaineering. It is aimed at those who wish to review or consolidate the technical fundamentals required for safe progress in the mountains, on classic routes.
No advanced technical skills are required. All you need is previous mountaineering or alpine touring experience and a desire to learn. The content is adapted to the level of the group to ensure collective progress.
The basics: roping up, belaying, belaying on the move, progressing on snow, ice or rock, and all the safety techniques needed to move effectively in a roped party on different types of mountain terrain.
This course is aimed at people who are already technically autonomous and want to become true first-timers. It is suitable for those who have already practised regularly and want to learn how to prepare a race and manage all the parameters of an alpine route.
The aim is to learn how to plan a route, read a guidebook, anticipate unforeseen circumstances, make the right itinerary choices and adapt to the conditions and the group. It's a step towards complete autonomy in the high mountains.
It's not compulsory, but you should already have mastered the basic techniques seen in Level 1. A discussion beforehand will ensure that the course is adapted to the level and experience of each participant.
