Frequently asked questions

I offer two levels of outings:
- Discovery level: for skiers who are comfortable on black runs and have some off-piste experience. This is the ideal format for discovering the Vallée Blanche or doing a first day at La Grave, exploring wide, not very technical but spectacular itineraries.
- Advanced level: for skiers already experienced in off-piste skiing, capable of skiing in all types of snow, on sustained and sometimes exposed slopes. This includes more technical descents and steep slopes.

No. All descents are accessible only by gravity, using the ski lifts. There are no ski ascents or portages to be expected. The emphasis is on sliding, in a high mountain setting.

- In Chamonix: Vallée Blanche (all variants), Grand Envers, Petit Envers, Glacier Rond, Cosmiques...
- At La Grave: Vallons de la Meije, couloirs du Lac, des Fréaux, de la Voûte and de Chirouze...
I adapt the descents according to the conditions of the day, the snow conditions and your level. It could be a major glacier descent or a challenging couloir, but always with a view to enjoyment and maximum safety.

Yes, if you're fit, comfortable on black runs and keen to discover the high mountains on skis, it's within your grasp. I'll take you step by step, giving you the keys to progress. It's also possible to envisage a day of discovery at La Grave, on the most accessible itineraries.

Yes, for more experienced skiers, I also supervise technical descents: Cosmiques, Rond, Rectiligne, Trifides, Voute, etc. Each line is chosen according to your level, the snow and the orientation. These are challenging descents, reserved for solid skiers with a good level of experience.

- DVA, shovel, probe (compulsory - I can provide some)
- Skis suitable for off-piste skiing (good edges, intermediate to wide width)
- Helmet recommended
- Harness and lanyard on certain glacier or technical routes (I'll let you know in advance if you need them)

Yes, you'll need the appropriate day pass: Aiguille du Midi (or Mont-Blanc Unlimited), or La Grave - La Meije. I'll tell you exactly what you need, depending on your planned outing.
