Frequently asked questions

Ski touring is the art of leave the marked trails to explore the mountains in winter on skis. With sealskins under your skis, you can ski gently up the mountain and then enjoy some great descents in untouched snow, away from the crowds and ski lifts.

To anyone :

  • Comfortable on skis (level minimum red track recommended)

  • Keen to experience life away from the lifts

I suggest itineraries initiationand classic races or multi-day raids (with nights in refuge or on your own).

You need to be in good physical conditioncapable of walking between 500 and 1,200 metres uphill, with a rucksack on your back. I'll help you choose an outing suited to your level and your desire for effort.

I'll send you a full list before we go out. You will need :

  • Touring skis, skins, suitable bindings

  • Hiking boots, poles, knives

  • avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe (I can supply them)

  • Warm clothing, water bottle, glasses, snacks

If necessary, I can direct you to rental shops.

It depends on the objective:

  • Up to 6 people for classic tours

  • Smaller groups for more challenging or technical routes

I prefer small groups for greater safety, pleasure and flexibility.

Prices vary according to the duration and type of journey:

  • Day trip From €450 (group rate)

  • Raid 2 to 5 days on request

The price includes supervision. Equipment hire, overnight stays in mountain huts and meals are not included.

In the mountains, the weather is a determining factor. If conditions are unfavourable :
