Frequently asked questions

Not at all. Some mixed routes or gullies are perfectly accessible for a first contact, provided you are in good physical condition and have some mountain experience (alpine hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing or summer mountaineering, for example).

Snow, ice and mixed routes: gullies, ridges, couloirs... These are varied routes, where ice axes and crampons are used in a unique winter atmosphere.

Specific technical equipment (ice axes, crampons, helmet, harness) can be loaned if required. A full list is provided on registration, including warm clothing, gloves, thermos flask, etc. The choice of equipment is essential if you are to be comfortable in the cold.

For the more accessible routes, all you need is to be fit, motivated and ready to tackle mixed terrain. For the more demanding routes, a first experience of mountaineering or ice climbing is preferable. A preliminary discussion will enable us to adapt the route to your level.

I offer a selection of routes depending on the weather and snow conditions and, of course, the level of the group. Flexibility, safety and pleasure guide the choice of routes.
