Introduction to climbing in the Chartreuse - Session (3h) for families, friends and holidaymakers
Would you like to discover climbing in the great outdoors for a morning or afternoon in the Chartreuse? The Rigauds cliff, above Saint Pierre d'Entremont, is the perfect quiet spot to take your first steps in climbing.
For 3 hours, I offer you a supervised session, accessible to children and adults alike, to share a sporty, fun and friendly moment. You'll climb with a top-rope on easy, well-equipped routes suited to your level. Depending on your ability, you can also try your hand at lead climbing. We take the time to observe, understand movements, work on balance and foot placement.
A great idea for an activity to enjoy with family or friends during your summer holidays, in the heart of the Chartreuse.
Everything is provided: harness, helmet, boots, rope... All you need is trainers, water and a desire to climb!
- Harness, helmet, belayer (supplied if necessary)
- Climbing shoes
- Sportswear
- Sunglasses, sun cream
- 1L water bottle, cereal bars
- Picnic
Something for everyone! Introduction to climbing in the Chartreuse is for children aged 6-7, teenagers, adults and families. You don't need to be a great sportsman: you just need to want to try it. The routes are easy and there's something for everyone.
Yes, perfectly. The Rigauds cliff is ideal for children: the approach is short, the foot of the routes are comfortable, and the routes are fun and not very impressive. I take my time with everyone and make sure that the younger ones have fun while learning.
Don't panic: many beginners are initially apprehensive. Beginner climbing is done using a top-rope (with the rope already installed), on short walls, with close belaying. You climb at your own pace, without any pressure. The setting is reassuring and I'm there to guide you.
The Chartreuse is a magnificent playground for the holidays! As well as introductory climbing courses, I also offer :
- The Roche Veyrand via ferrata, a fun way to discover the thrill of heights.
- Wildlife-watching walks (ibex, chamois, marmots, birds of prey...)
- Unusual hikes on the Chartreuse straps, cliffside paths.
- Water trekking and canyoning for beginners and experts.
