The session takes place on the Rigauds cliff, located above Saint-Pierre-d’Entremont. This small climbing site offers a peaceful setting, away from crowded areas, with numerous easy routes perfectly suited for an introduction to climbing in the Chartreuse. The quality of the rock, the short height of the routes, and their modern equipment make it an ideal place to discover outdoor climbing.

For three hours, you'll learn the basics of climbing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. After an introduction to the equipment and safety rules, you'll discover your first sensations on pre-rigged routes. This method allows for calm progression, focusing on your movements and balance.

Throughout this beginner's climbing session in Chartreuse, we'll focus on the fundamentals: foot placement, using your legs, finding balance, reading holds, and managing your effort. You'll gradually learn to use your body effectively, rather than relying solely on arm strength.

Depending on your level and confidence, it is also possible to discover the first steps of lead climbing. The aim is not to seek difficulty, but to understand the techniques that allow you to progress autonomously in future practice.
