Frequently asked questions

This is a route built on a rock face, somewhere between hiking and climbing. You progress upwards using cables, rungs, footbridges and sometimes monkey bridges. You are permanently attached to a lifeline with dynamic lanyards. Thrills guaranteed, with no need for climbing techniques! It's the ideal activity for discovering verticality in safety.

Accessible to everyone aged 8 and over, depending on the itinerary. I adapt to the level of the group: families, beginners, sports enthusiasts, groups of friends, there's something for everyone. You just need to be fit and motivated. Some routes are very easy, while others are more challenging for those who like a thrill.

I provide the equipment: helmet, harness, lanyards with shock absorbers. You come with hiking or trail shoes, comfortable clothing suited to the weather, a small rucksack, water, a snack, sunglasses and sun cream. I'll send you a simple list before the outing.

Yes, as long as you want to go beyond it. We take it step by step, always safe. I'll explain everything at the bottom, guide you along the way and adapt to your pace. If necessary, I'll choose a progressive route. You take charge of your outing, without any pressure. The aim is to enjoy yourself and perhaps even to tame the emptiness a little.

I offer outings around Chambéry, in Savoie, Isère and Haute-Savoie. Less than an hour and a half's drive away, you'll have access to a variety of via ferrata: family-friendly, sporting, fun or very aerial. I choose according to the weather, your location and your mood for the day. There's always a great option nearby.

Via Ferrata du Roc de Cornillon: easy and panoramic, with plunging views over Lac du Bourget.

Via Ferrata de Roche Veyrand: longer and more aerial, for fans of vertical climbing.

Via Ferrata le P'tchi: fun and accessible, perfect for families or beginners.

Via Ferrata Jules Carret: a more challenging route, with a great atmosphere on the rock face.
A little further away, but superb in a real mountain atmosphere:

Via Ferrata du Roc du Vent (Beaufortain) and Via Ferrata du Col des Aravis (Haute-Savoie).
And for an original touch :

Urban Via Ferrata from the Bastille in Grenoble, with views over the city and a unique atmosphere.
I'll help you choose the one that's right for you, depending on your level, the weather and your preferences.

This is a supervised and very well equipped activity. You climb in safety, attached to a cable with shock-absorbing lanyards. I check all the equipment and make sure the outing goes smoothly. There are risks if you don't follow the rules, but with a guide and common sense, it's a safe way to go. I keep a close eye on the weather conditions, the level of the group and everyone else along the way.

The via ferrata originated in the Dolomites during the First World War, to help soldiers get around in the mountains. It was then developed as a leisure activity in the Alps in the 1990s. Today, it's a great way to discover verticality, the mountain spirit and the thrill of climbing, without the need for lengthy technical training.

Yes, it's even a great idea! It's a great way to challenge yourself, have fun and make memories together. I can organise a dynamic outing with a great view and little challenges, while keeping things safe. It's also possible to combine it with another activity (canyoning, a restaurant, a night in a refuge, etc.). If you're a group, I'll adapt to your schedule and your style.

Completely! Via ferrata and canyoning make the perfect combo for an adventure day or weekend. One high up, the other in the water. They can be combined over two half-days or two days, depending on the weather, level and logistics. I'll organise the programme so that it's smooth, fun and varied. Ask me for a tailor-made plan.
